Web3 is the idea of a decentralized web economy that is laying the groundwork to kickstart the next generation of the World Wide Web. Web3 has the potential to impact a variety of services: data storage, supply chains, digital payments, social networks, entertainment, risk management, and insurance.

With this iteration of the web being decentralized, the foundation for Web3 will be built on blockchain technology and user-centric capabilities to provide a decentralized economy, which can be leveraged by the insurance industry. In this decentralized economy, users, machines & businesses will be able to trade valued assets, information, and work using peer-to-peer networks without the need to interact with third parties or private servers.
